Online exhibition by Mama Cash   (Common latest news)
Sex workers are severely stigmatised as workers and human beings. Since the early 1970s, determined and courageous sex workers have been collectively organising in spite of the sometimes extreme consequences they face for speaking out. For a long time, Mama Cash, the Dutch women's fund, has supported sex workers rights activist, by giving travel grants to sex worker activists attending their first world conventions and conferences.

Currently, the fund prioritises on securing full human rights for sex workers and ending the stigmatisation of sex workers. Mama Cash supports the right of every woman and trans sex worker to be treated with dignity and be recognised as fully human by societies and under the law.

The special webpage ‘Out from under'. Sex Workers united for Rights and Respect' contains photos and videos, a timeline on sex workers activism and facts and myths.
