Summary
The present research is designed to assess how the Romanian State and civil society have joined their efforts in the control and prevention of trafficking of human beings on the one hand, and in the protection of and assistance to victims harmed by this offense. At the same time, we aimed to detect what is the perception of the Romanian population of migration, but also of the most vulnerable social segments – the female population in the age group 15 to 24 years. Thus, the research aimed to cover the following: ♦ Legislation and institutional framework analysis; ♦ Assessment of policies on prevention and control of trafficking of human beings; ♦ Identification of progress and necessary changes; ♦ Outline of social perception of migration and trafficking of human beings. In order to achieve these objectives, the research was structured around two main components: a qualitative survey and a quantitative survey.
