- A documentary based on the story of Akosse Legba, a 32- year old Togolese woman who has been a victim of modern slavery in France. In order to feed her mother and her siblings, Legba Akosse, decided to go and work in the house of a French family. The work turned out to be hell: her passport was taken away from her, she was locked in her room, beaten, kicked and mauled. Like a slave, she had to walk one meter behind ‘the lady of the house’. When the family went on holiday she was left behind with only rice to eat. She was starving and freezing. "My heart was heavy. I could have run away, but I didn’t dare to. At night, when everybody was asleep, tears would roll down my cheeks." Filmmaker Brahim Fritah transforms Legba Akosse’s story about degrading experiences in Paris into a poetic and associative film...
