Summary
The preparation of the National Plan for Suppression of Traffi cking in Persons was one of the first tasks of the National Committee. The National Plan was adopted at the session of the Government of the Republic of Croatia held on 14 November 2002 and, as such, represents the fi rst document in Croatia to provide a comprehensive coverage of this issue. Besides introductory remarks and explanations of its topic, the Plan includes the following chapters: - Legislative Framework; - Assistance to and Protection of Victims; - Prevention; - Education; - International Co-operation; and - Co-ordination of Activities. In order to monitor and control the implementation of activities set forth in the National Plan, the National Committee, pursuant to the Decision on its establishment, is obliged to submit annual reports on its work to the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
