Summary
The report highlights that less people have been intercepted entering the EU irregularly and that migrants are increasingly accessing the EU through its land borders rather than by sea. It identifies the Turkey-Greece border, in particular, as a priority for Frontex border operations. Furthermore, it  anticipates that the enlargement of the Schengen area to Romania and Bulgaria could raise potential challenges.
