Summary
The Migration Profiles are a key result of this project. They bring together existing information from different sources in a structured manner and provide a comprehensive overview of key international migration and socio-economic development trends in the target countries. They also identify data gaps and potential strategies to improve data collection for policy planning purposes. This data guide aims to provide useful recommendations for updating these Migration Profiles, or when developing a new one in other countries within the region. The guide will look at how to apply concepts and definitions related to the measurement of international migration, and discusses how the collected data can better support the policymaking process. In this way, the guide aims to improve the quality of the statistical report and to promote the sustainability of the whole Migration Profile process.
